About

SJF projects & support was founded in 2005 – so 20 years ago – mainly to cater to a growing demand in support for implementation of laser scanning data for dyke monitoring. 3D modelling and analysis, legal boundary determination and especially: change mapping.
Because innovation is knowledge heavy this subject was frequently discussed in Dike Knowledge Days.

After one of the first large scale dike surveys using laser scanning – change mapping was high on my agenda. Change mapping is the essence of laser scanning surveys in an administrative (legal) setting. Dikes have to be monitored for changes, aging, illegal developments, buildings and permits.
So when the second large scale laser scan (600km of dikes and levees) was completed I worked late to see if I could detect changes. I had bulls eye on the first cross section I compared. The levee had subsided under the required minimum level… I wrote an article about it (HERE)

In 2008 I also completed my Master of Management and ICT (MMI – Amsterdam University of Applied Science) and got hooked on Knowledge management. I started using video to capture Knowledge sessions on (water related) symposia, meetings and courses. Eventually accumulating over 5.000 knowledge items: presentations, interviews, start in movies, knowledge documentaries.

I have set up a demo site at watertv.nl . With showcases of interviews at events (event harvesting) and a top-10.

Have fun – learn and share !
